The Story behind the Artwork
The second artwork in the Larger Than Life series, a series that brings the old 1935 NZ pictorial stamps to life with colour and character. This artwork features a snappy Blue Marlin in the Bay of Islands with the iconic ‘Hole in the Rock’ in the background. This artwork was such a fun one to create, using my favourite colours - Ultramarine Blue, perfect for the rich marbled skin of the Marlin.
