How should I care for my Art & Canvas Prints?

Art Prints
Please keep the print/artwork enclosed in the plastic sleeve until you have the frame ready to keep it clean and dry. It is recommended they be framed under UV glass or plexiglass and not displayed in direct sunlight or near UV lighting. If cared for properly your art should last a lifetime and not fade. Each print comes with instructions to care for the print.

Canvas Prints
Please do not hang in direct sunlight or areas where moisture is present, over time this will damage the print and the frame. It is recommended that canvas prints be wiped clean with a damp cloth every 6-12 months to prolong the life of the print, no scrubbing!. If cared for properly, canvas prints should last up to 80 years.

How are the Art Prints produced?

Each print is a reproduction that captures the all of the detail and vibrant colours of the original painting. Prints are printed on fine art paper with an Epson Surecolor printer that uses 8 pigment ink colours to match the colours in the artwork. These are printed in my studio and hand signed before being dispatched.

How are the stretched Canvases Made?

Each canvas print is made to order by an Auckland supplier. They are printed with archival inks on 380gsm polyester/cotton canvas and finished with a UV protective finish. The wooden ‘stretcher’ frames are made from NZ pine. They can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, no scrubbing! 6 days to produce.

What is a Fine Art Print?

A fine art print or giclée printing is a term used to describe an extremely high quality print seen in art galleries.

Use pigment inks printed on acid free fine art paper, these prints will not fade and paper will not yellow over time and last for up to 99 years).

How are the print sent out?

A4 and A3 art prints are packaged in a clear plastic sleeve with cardboard backing to keep flat and sent via tracked courier in cardboard pads. A2 are packaged in a plastic sleeve in a cardboard tube. All prints are sent from Auckland.
